Research

Research and Extension related to animal agriculture is the foundation for AAI. Since 1996, more than 200 projects have been funded - all with the goal of improving livestock and animal production throughout Michigan.

Following is a listing of the research topic categories established as high priority by the state’s animal industry groups. The AAI gives priority to those research proposals targeting work within these broad categories, as well as those clearly identifying a current and future ability to leverage matching or external funding.
